How to store leather jackets and coats?
Before you put the jacket in the wardrobe, you should clean it from dirt and impregnate it. To do this, we can take the jacket to a professional laundry or remove dirt using household methods, taking into account all the manufacturer's recommendations!
Natural leather cannot be exposed to sunlight for a long time, as this can cause discoloration. The jacket is best kept in a dark place.
Leather products should not be folded to avoid unwanted creases and tears. The jacket shold be hung on a wide, suitably sized hanger, which prevents the leather from deforming on the shoulders. The jacket should not be stuffed between other items of clothing, there should be a place to hang it up freely.
We protect the coat from dust deposits on its surface, as it will be difficult to remove later. The best solution is to put the jacket in a cotton bag that is permeable to air, which is necessary for the skin to breathe.
Natural leather is sensitive to changes in humidity, temperature and the sun mentioned above. Therefore, we avoid holding the jacket at the window, for example.
